I take an eclectic approach to counseling, and I like to tailor therapy to best assist the client with their goals and learning preferences. My heart for kids and teens has always been evident. I enjoy teaching them through fun, age-appropriate activities, as well as educating families to incorporate these skills at home. Leading up to becoming a counselor, I studied Speech Language Pathology, Child Life Specialist, and Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have a passion for each of these fields and utilize them in the therapeutic setting. Communication, individuals with special needs, grief work with a diagnosis or loss, and hearing people’s stories are some of the main passions I have.
In the counseling session, I meet my clients with empathy, compassion, humility, and a bit of humor. I desire to provide all clients with safety, understanding, advocacy, and healing. I am here to sit with you, listen to your story, and partner with you to reach your mental health goals.

Hi! I’m Madeleine (she/her). I want to begin by recognizing your bravery in taking the next step in pursuing counseling. I believe deeply in the transformative nature of the therapeutic process, and I am so glad you’re here. I view each session as an invitation to show up as we both are, and to create a therapeutic alliance centered around safety, exploration, and connection. I seek to emulate a trauma-informed, client-centered, and holistic approach to counseling. Each human has a valuable and unique story, and our stories are inherently impacted by a wide variety of factors both in and out of our control. The therapy room provides a safe space to explore together all parts of our stories, and to provide choice and empowerment within them. I believe in the resiliency of every human, and I utilize embodiment, parts work, and self-compassion to tap into that resiliency.
The therapy room is a sacred space, and I feel honored to sit with each client in their journey towards wholeness. I have clinical experience working with clients seeking support with anxiety, depression, spirituality, sexuality, attachment wounds, and self-trust. I completed my clinical practicum internship in the fall of 2022. I’m currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health, and I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a minor in English. I love to learn, and consider myself a lifelong learner. I have learned much in my career journey thus far, and am excited to continue learning in this next phase!
I feel most alive going on long walks outside, soaking up the sunshine, reading and learning, creating art and music with friends, and engaging in enriching conversations with those whom I love.
