I take an eclectic approach to counseling, and I like to tailor therapy to best assist the client with their goals and learning preferences. My heart for kids and teens has always been evident. I enjoy teaching them through fun, age-appropriate activities, as well as educating families to incorporate these skills at home. I also enjoy working with adults who would like to navigate their childhood attachment wounds. Whether it is a series of complex traumas or one significant traumatic event, I am here to ensure my clients feel heard and to assist them in untangling the knots that feel too big to conquer.
Leading up to becoming a counselor, I studied Speech Language Pathology, Child Life Specialist, and Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have a passion for each of these fields and utilize them in the therapeutic setting. Communication, individuals with special needs, grief work with a diagnosis or loss, and hearing people’s stories are some of the main passions I have.
In the counseling session, I meet my clients with empathy, compassion, humility, and a bit of humor. I desire to provide all clients with safety, understanding, advocacy, and healing. I am here to sit with you, listen to your story, and partner with you to reach your mental health goals.

Life is a journey in which every moment, whether filled with joy or challenge, holds the potential for growth, connection, and transformation.
I understand that life's experiences, uncertainties, and challenges can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to face them alone. I aim to establish a connection where you feel seen, heard, and deeply understood. In a supportive and non-judgmental space, I seek to acknowledge the inner strength and wisdom that has guided you on your journey. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Colorado. As part of my education to become a licensed professional counselor, I am pursuing a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Colorado Christian University.
Outside of my professional life, I enjoy spending time with my wife, practicing hot yoga, playing pickleball, and practicing self-compassion.
Training & Modalities:
I believe that, at its best, therapy is a place for us to come alive to our own experience—both the achingly beautiful and seemingly unbearable—with compassion and courage. We are wounded and healed in relationship, and as a therapist it is my profound honor to hear and hold your story, and to walk with you towards whatever goals you want to achieve in the time you share with me. I seek to create a space where you can be deeply heard and fully known without judgment, celebrated and encouraged as you engage with the work of therapy, and challenged and supported as you grow.
I love working with individuals, couples, and families. I approach therapy with a deep concern for personal narrative, the pervasive and multigenerational impact of trauma, the need for the interpersonal construction of meaning, and the healing power of humor. I also appreciate the need for pragmatic solutions—sometimes, we need to address immediate problems before engaging in deeper work. Your goals will always guide the work we do together.
My road—like all roads—has been a winding one. I am a veteran of the U.S. Army and former Combat Medic, hold a bachelor’s from the University of Colorado Denver, and earned my MFA in Creative Writing from Oregon State University. I am currently in my final year pursuing a master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. When not practicing therapy, I can be found writing and reading fiction, fumbling around in nature, attempting to perfect a recipe, or trying to make my wife laugh.
