Training & Modalities:
I am a graduate student in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at CCU. I am honored to be a part of the Lighthouse Therapy Team. A little about my background: my original career was as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant, my current job is in an operational role at a pediatric hospital, and my future career path will be as a Licensed Professional Counselor. Although I have had several different vocational experiences, my heart for people has always been the driving force.
I take an eclectic approach to counseling, and I like to tailor therapy to best assist the client with their goals and learning preferences. I have a wide array of experience in walking alongside those who might be encountering grief or are in seasons of transition. Additionally, I have worked with children, adolescents, young adults, individuals with special needs, and have a heart for empty nesters and individuals who have experienced trauma.
I transitioned into this field as a wounded warrior myself, so I come into counseling with empathy, compassion, and humility. I desire to provide all clients with safety, understanding, advocacy, and healing. I am here to sit with you, listen to your story, join you on your journey, and partner with you to reach your mental health goals.
Training & Modalities:
I believe that growth and change can happen even in the toughest of times.
The way we perceive ourselves and our situations can have a large impact on our healing journey. I am passionate about you healing from past trauma or stressful life events and growing your relationships to help you be the most authentic version of yourself.
I want you to feel empowered, understood, and cared for in the therapy process. My role is to be there with you while we work to understand what may be affecting you and make positive changes to work towards individual and personal goals. I appreciate the various differences in people's mindsets and worldviews and want to help you find the best way to grow.
I am a graduate student at Colorado Christian University and I am working on my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology, Religion, and Spanish from Augustana College in Illinois.
Throughout my time in the Midwest, I work as a wilderness guide for teens and children in Wisconsin. I worked alongside other guides to run overnight canoe trips, whitewater rafting trips, rock climbing day trips, and lots of outdoor experiences. This experience showed how much I cared for children and adolescents and it has become a passion of mine to work with them in a therapeutic setting to help them reach their full potential
Training & Modalities:
I am a graduate student at Indiana Wesleyan University, studying Social Work. My passion is cultivating relationships that foster healing. I delight in holding space for others while empowering them to discover the resiliency that lies within them. While the therapeutic relationship can feel scary and uncomfortable, my hope and goal is to set an environment that feels most honoring and dignifying for you! I am humbled to bear witness to the incredible journey that is your therapeutic process. I hold fast to the truth that we are all simply human, and as such, we get to spend our whole lives exploring what it means to live a healthy, balanced and fulfilling life, never reaching a ceiling in our healing processes. I feel deeply honored to get to sit with you on your own path to healing and wholeness.
When I am not in the therapeutic space, I am working in the development department of a non-profit, playing with my four kids, or spending time with my sweet husband. I love books, games, laughter and great conversation.

My goal is for you to feel cared for and accepted unconditionally. I believe in an authentic client-therapist relationship, and I like to work collaboratively to help you reach your potential.
